The cottage is situated in the small hamlet of L’Ardeloute, only 5 kilometres from the local town of Pouzauges which has all the amenities you will need during your stay : banks , supermarket , boulongerie/patisseries , tabacs, bars , restaurants , pharmacy , tourist information office , Aquatic Centre/ Swimming pool etc.
The bread van calls several times a week with freshly baked baguettes and croissants.
There is a very good restaurant and a bar within about a mile of the cottage.
There is ample parking at the property.
