Featuring sword fights, battles, fireworks, beautiful clothes and open air spectacle thePuy Du Foy celebrates history and the great outdoors in the beautiful setting of the French countryside. Visitors can explore vast gardens and permanent historic displays in a site covering over 30 hectares. There are also regular shows timetabled throughout the day and night. A huge medieval fort and a 6,000-seat Roman amphitheatre are some of the recreated settings where you can witness impressive special effects. At Puy du Fou you can watch Viking invaders, swashbuckling musketeers, live chariot races, siege warfare, gladiator fights and wild animals displays, including falconry. The Grand Parc also features a Water Theatre, a Renaissance Garden and a recreation of an 18th century village.Puy du Fou is only a half hour drive from the cottage and is a ‘must see’.

There are a series of spectacular  ‘Shows ‘ each lasting about 40 minutes which start at prearranged times.

Don’t leave without seeing:

The Vikings (left) , The Gladiators (bottom left) and the Birds of Prey (Le Bal Des Oiseaux Fantomes) (below).

There are plenty of Bars and Restaurants throughout the Park but you are free to take your own food and drink and enjoy one of the many picturesque picnic areas.

Puy du Fou is a full days entertainment and in the evening there is also an optional nighttime spectacular ‘Cinescene’
